I am an aspiring UX designer studying Master of Interactive Design and Electronic Art at the University of Sydney. Transitioned from Food Science to UX Design.

Why UX?

I grew up listening to artist's stories via audio tapes (Do people still know what audio tapes are?) and read books about the meaning behind their artworks. I also enjoy crafting handmade gift cards for friends and family since I was a kid. Creating meaningful peices then becomes something that I value the most when showing my care and love.

Food Science to UX design is a transition in canvas.

Transitioning from Food Science to UX Design was easier that I imagined. The way of thinking in UX design involves the steps used and learned when studying and working as a food product developer. Although I had to use new tools, the underlying concept of both fields ranging from research, development to implementation are fundamentally the same.

However, I realized the continuing as a food product R&D provides me little opportunity to engage directly with consumers/users. Engaging with users during the design process to gather the interactive feedback is a core element in achieving a thoroughly designed product. User Experience Design is something that I really enjoy and am ready to start as a lifetime career.I am always ready for new projects and opportunities to accumulate my experience.
